Please let me introduce you to my new dream bag: Tod’s D-Bag Media in a gorgeous shade of purple! Pebbled leather with a subtle sheen is making me swoon and the silver hardware and metal feet on the bottom are just the icing on top of the cake. Isn’t it beautiful! Classic bags that can surpass multiple seasons are always winners in economic downturns. That is one excuse to invest in exotic bags and Hermes, Chanel, etc. All of their bag designs are at least 50 years old. Talk about staying power. They will always be relevant. I am calling this Tod’s bag a classic, but not on par with any of those brands. I’m not stupid, I check Ebay and know that Tod’s isn’t exactly burning holes in peoples pockets in resale value. And you can say whatever you want about Louis Vuitton, but the brand can hold it’s value. And if you have a Chanel flap or an Hermes Birkin or Kelly, then you are in a gold mine. So, if I bought this bag it would be for the classic design and because I just love that color! But resell value is always something to consider, you have to be practical. What is the point in buying a $1,500 bag if it is only worth $500 or less even if it is in good condition? Enough talk about money, I will either get it when it goes on sale (crossing fingers) or wait patiently until another purple bag crosses my path. Buy through Eluxury for $1,495.
