Hermes Golden Arrow

hermesI actually don’t have a lot of information about this bag (except for the price yikes!), but I couldn’t resist tempting you with the eye candy that is a matte alligator exotic from the house of the orange bags. If you are interested you will have to inquire at your boutique and hopefully they won’t laugh in your face at your chances of owning one of these. ;)

Priced at 9450 €.

Hermes Collier de Chien Bracelet

Monday, April 6th, 2009

HermesI am not really into the Studs look. The current trend has just never moved me. But of course if Hermes says it’s okay, then I can’t really argue. So, I could rock this little Collie de Chien Bracelet and pretend I’m cool and edgy, and secretly know that I’m not really, but I am still stylish! This is available in other colors as well as gold hardware and priced at $1,000. At Hermes.

Hermes Fall 2009

Hermes Fall 2009

I’m back with a vengeance. I took a little hiatus, and sorry about that! But I have found PLENTY of gorgeous bags and accessories to drool over. And I’m starting with the big kahuna. Jean Paul Gaultier has redone the Hermes birkin in what has become the season trend: trompe l’oeil. Lacking hardware and actual straps, the birkin has become art! I have read a lot of negative thoughts on the new birkin, thinking that it is only for collectors or if you already own an actual birkin, but I actually quite like this! It saves time on closing and opening, and who actually keeps their birkin closed anyway? So, I give this new birkin the thumbs up, I love this one more than the shoulder JPG birkin from a few years back as well. It’s cute but still classic. I mean it’s still a birkin! I’m just holding my breath now on the price. If it’s more expensive than an original birkin, then I would definitely skip this, but either way, I love it. And drool over those crocodile clutches while you’re at it. and the divine clothes…yummy! All photos from style.com

Hermes Cadenas

Tuesday, January 13th, 2009

Hermes CadenaI was browsing online through the uber-luxury brand, Hermes. You know? THE creators of all that is holy grail of bags and accessories. The brand that didn’t sell itself out, but instead still has the majority of its shares owned by family. The same brand that has actual craftsmen that hand-sew those delicious, tantalizing leather bags. Of course, I don’t even own a bag of theirs, but I love this cute little Pegasus Lock or “Cadenas”. If I bought it I would just have to keep it in a safe place until I had an actual Kelly bag to go with it :D . Just maybe…one day! You can buy through Hermes online for $210 for the silver-plated or gold-plated. Also comes in palladium (available in stores).

Hermès Fall 2008 Ready-to-Wear

Wednesday, October 8th, 2008

I have no where near the budget for this (probably never), but I can’t help but appreciate the understated luxury that is Hermès. I love cold weather, because I get to wear my pretty coats and boots, but I wish I could pull this look off or even afford a piece of it. It makes me drool just seeing it in photos.

Oh well, I come off cloud 9 and apply the style to my own much meager clothing budget, starting with purchasing pieces that have staying power versus trends. It makes sense for me to spend more money on higher quality that I know will stay with me 5, 10, 15 years. That’s why I love cashmere. If you take care of it, it will last.

So with that said, here is their Fall 2008 RTW for your viewing pleasure. Oh and don’t forget the new bags they have come out with! The Jypsiere Messenger bag and the SO Kelly are absolutely drool-worthy. All photos from style.com unless otherwise stated.
