E-flite Blade CX2 RTF Helicopter

Thursday, December 11th, 2008

My gadget-loving husband got an early Christmas present this week. Meet the E-flite Blade CX2 RTF Electric Coaxial Micro Helicopter, otherwise known as Blade CX2 Remote-controlled Helicopter. This one is the easiest out of the bunch to learn how to fly. Great for beginners, no assembly required, and this one actually works! Priced at $179.99, it might sound expensive for a cool toy, but seriously it’s the price you have to pay to get an awesome RC helicopter. My husband paid $80 bucks for one from Toys R Us that you couldn’t even control. Basically, you could move it up and down, but from that point on it went wherever it felt like. So, we returned that and decided to get this, ta-da! Totally fun (and I am a girl that is into handbags, not electronics) and worth the money. My husband is like a kid again. If you are a beginner, we highly recommend getting this one to start out with, the other models are still in the same price range, but it will be a lot easier getting the hang of RC flying on this compared to the pro-series that will be a lot more difficult. This sounds like a completely random post, but seriously, remote-controlled toys are such a blast.

Find out where to buy so you can be a kid again too.

The Sanctuary

Monday, December 1st, 2008

I am a big believer in Feng Shui. I know it can sound silly sometimes, but if you apply basic concepts like reducing clutter in your home, making your home a place of relaxation, a sanctuary, then you can reap many benefits mentally and emotionally. Also, trying to keep electronics out of your bedroom to promote better sleeping habits is a little difficult.  We keep our cell phones right by our bedside plugged in every night. How can you prevent that clutter? Well, The Sanctuary is the solution. By removing unsightly wires and having all of your daily necessities kept in the same spot while being able to plug in and charge a multitude of different electronics (over 1,500) all in one place, this is an electronic/feng shui fanatic’s dream! Also comes with a USB port to charge up those IPods and other devices. This is what the website says: Users can from now on charge their cell phone, PDA, Blackberry, iPod, MP3 player, and bluetooth headset simultaneously in one location. Perfection! Buy through Bluelounge.com for $129.50. Would make an excellent Christmas present too :)
